WHAT IS A POSTURATOR?

A Posturator is a Patented, portable seat cushion with adjustable internal components engineered to correct and maintain the user’s perfect posture.

Many of our users have great posture, either from proper seating habits or never having developed bad seating habits. The Posturator has several versatile components that can be adjusted to guide the user’s spine toward a corrective trajectory by simply leaning on it or reclining. The user’s body weight is cradled with comfort as the spinal structure is guided by the adjustable ‘spine profile’. The user can select to use it either for correcting hunchback (Kyphotic) posture, OR to maintain their perfect posture with simple and easy adjustments and modes of use. There are several well known spinal deformities according to the medical industry. The most common ones are kyphosis (Hunchback), Scoliosis (Lateral, side to side curvature of the spine) and slipped disk (Herniated vertebra). The Posturator offers correction for the Hunchback condition as well as slipped disk. It’s important to know that when making vertically it’s essential to keep the integrity of the corrective trajectory. This is why the Posturator not only corrects hunchback condition but also prevents interruption (Caused by a slipped disc) by compensating for slipped disc with 'Spine Nodules’, to prevent the slipped disc from interrupting the corrective trajectory of the spinal structure. Without the compensation provided by the ‘spine nodules’ it’s virtually unlikely to correct the spinal trajectory to the portion of the spine that is above the slipped disc.

Yes. The Posturator is engineered to be reclinable in a chair with a fixed back simply by moving it forward on the chair. This will tilt (Recline) the angle of the Posturator even on a chair with a fixed back.

The Posturator is designed to work on any chair or couch with a back support (Not with Stools). However, an office chair with a reclining feature and arm rests will make it slightly easier to position yourself consistently into the receiving pelvis support cushions, as well as controlling the recline angle with consistency.

Yes. That was a key requirement for our engineers. The Posturator is intended to fit into our users’ lifestyles without intrusion. In other words, it offers users the freedom to use the Posturator on any chair or seat that they normally use in their day to day life (Whether at your desk, in your car, on your couch… providing that the seat has a backrest) so that the corrective effect of the Posturator can be sustained for more efficient results. Seat time is key.

According to the Medical Journals and clinical trials, there is nothing that has shown significant success aside from surgery which is a last resort. Currently the market is flooded with many elastic type products which never correct the hunchback issue and have no scientific backing for effectiveness. We at Thera-Posture are changing that with the Posturator by conducting clinical trials to show efficacy and FDA approval.

There are many great chair brands on the market. Some ARE genuinely top tier ergonomic chairs. However, none of them have been shown to improve bad posture or maintain good posture.
